THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ICF
I was brought up by a single parent, my mother, because my father died at my infancy. I experienced the constraints of being cared for by a needy mother and having to learn to work to assist my mother to survive. Fortunately, my mother trained me to work hard and to assist my brothers and sisters. Eventually, when I grew up (teenager) I was driven by compassion to help orphans and other impoverished and suffering children. I quickly identified with their struggle having experienced the struggles of an orphan.

0-5 years
Early Childhood Development focusing on the physical, cognitive/mental, psychosocial/moral, spiritual and emotional development of the child including:
5-8 year

PROGRAMS S FOR CHILD CAR E AND PROTECTION
In a strategic response to the plight of children, Inlight Charity Foundation has taken upon itself the responsibility to offer lasting solutions to the problems envisaged. The organization’s approach to restoring normality in family life is unveiled through the following hierarchy of organizational purposes

Orphanage development, Care and Protection Program
This program is poised to offer accommodation (shelter) for orphans who lost both parents; counselling services for kids in trauma; clothing/shoes, blankets, and beddings; early childhood development services such as education at pre-and nursery school (0-5 years category)
Child feeding program:
This programs includes child feeding and food rations, relief and emergency aid, nutritional rehabilitation reaching out to orphans and other vulnerable children at community level through home based care.
Reform and Vocational Training Institute
ICF intends to run a multi-skilling in state and a reform Centre at Mponela in Dowa District. It is an institute for entrepreneurship development. Additionally, the Institute will incorporate Early Childhood Development and Education Centre offering pre-and nursery school a including daycare for toddlers. This includes Spiritual Counseling Clinic, which offers counseling and therapy to ensure the child is reformed ready to become a role model in society as a result of moral development. This essentially a Vocational Rehabilitation and education program
